Compass

About Us

Compass Ltd is New Zealand's leading and most dynamic provider of day long, professional development training for professionals working with children and young people. No one else offers as many seminars for the child and youth sector, in as many places through out the country as Compass. We coordinate and host up to 4 seminars a year in each of the following areas, Northland, Auckland, Waikato, Bay of Plenty, Hawkes Bay, Taranaki, Manawatu, Wellington, Tasman, Canterbury and Otago. We will also happily arrange events in other areas upon request. We seek to offer the complete training experience, using the best training talent from throughout Australasia and beyond. We base our workshops at the best available venues and support them with a fantastic range of additional services including seminar notes, mouth watering catering, convenient parking, civilised finish times, and much much more. At all of our events we also offer a comprehensive bookshop relating to all our current topics. We search the world to find the most up to date and relevant resources and literature see our Book and Resources page for more. For your convenience we offer EFTPOS, Credit Card and invoicing options at all of our events.

The management team at Compass are all experienced ex-clinicians from a range of child and adolescent agency settings so you know that our training programme always deals with contemporary issues that are relevant to the workforce in this industry.

Craig is the Managing Director of Compass Seminars New Zealand. Originally from a background in Child and Adolescent Social Work. Craig oversees the general operations of Compass and his key areas of responsibility are trainer recruitment and relationship management, event hosting, and the development of new business.

Craig always prefers talking (about anything) to working so you can be sure he will be up for a chat if you call the office. He also makes a mean cup of coffee (not that this skill is always appreciated by others in the Compass office).

Craig can be contacted by emailing craig@compass.ac.nz

Kate has previously worked and studied in the health sector before heading off for her big OE to the UK and Europe. She joined Compass upon her return from this adventure.

As one of the youngest personnel in our office Kate occupies a key role as technical advisor to the other fossils in all matters to do with mobile phones and the interweb thingy.

Nicola Waters, Administrator

Nic is the newest member of the Compass crew having joined us during 2011. She is a central part of our fantastic administration and customer service team and oversees the administrative support of our seminar and book shop operations and also handles a lot of the incoming phone and email enquires.

Nicola assures us that she has no quirky qualities that warrant being mentioned as part of this staff profile but we feel very strongly that there must be something so watch this space and as soon as we work it out we will let you know.

Nicola can be contacted by emailing office@compass.ac.nz

Ros McKenzie

Jet The Cat

Jet, Office Cat and Rodent Control

Jet does nothing around the office that is of any value to anyone (unless you count sleeping on the photocopier and drinking from unwatched coffee cups as being important).
